The Florida Puerto Rican Parade, Inc. (FLPRP), a 501 © (3) non-profit organization every year produces the Florida Puerto Rican Parade and Festival announces the third Gua’Kia 5k. In addition to the well-known cultural event, FLPRP is partnering with organizations to coordinate, promote and improve the health of runners. For FLPRP the well-being, peace of mind and safety of runners is of the utmost importance. Let us celebrate the runners by joining them. We welcome our friends living in Puerto Rico to be part of the event and the Parade!

EVENT WAIVER / RELEVO DE RESPONSABILIDAD

[SPANISH] En consideración de esta inscripción yo, quien se suscribe a la carrera, entiendo que estoy legalmente obligado por este medio, por mis parientes, albaceas y administradores y/o entrenadores a renunciar y relevar cualquier y todos los derechos a reclamaciones por daños que yo pudiera sufrir en este evento contra contratistas, auspiciadores, el gobierno, suplidores y sus representantes, herederos y cesionarios por cualquier y todas las lesiones sufridas por mí en dicho evento. Yo declaro y certifico que estoy físicamente apto y tengo suficiente entrenamiento para realizar este evento. Además, otorgo completa autorización para usar fotografías, videos, película, grabaciones o cualquier otro documento que muestre mi imagen, voz, o nombre en este evento para cualquier propósito relacionado al evento sin recibir pago o compensación. Aceptar la inscripción equivale a firmar este relevo. Si el participante inscrito es un menor, se entiende que está autorizado por sus padres o tutor para llenar esta inscripción, por lo que aceptarla es como si sus padres o tutor lo autorizaran. Toda persona que participe en el evento tiene que traer identificación con foto, certificado de nacimiento en el caso de menores.  Los menores deben de estar acompañado de su padre, madre o tutor legal para poder recoger su número y poder participar. De no hacerlo, no se le permitirá participar. Este relevo es parte de las reglas del evento y es aceptado mediante la inscripción a la carrera.

[ENGLISH] In consideration of this registration, I, the race registrant, understand that I am hereby legally bound by my next of kin, executors and administrators and/or coaches to waive and release any and all rights to claims for damages that I may suffer in this event against contractors, sponsors, the government, suppliers and their representatives, heirs and assigns for any and all injuries sustained by me in said event. I declare and certify that I am physically fit and have sufficient training to perform in this event. I further grant full permission to use photographs, videos, film, recordings or any other document that shows my image, voice, or name in this event for any purpose related to the event without payment or compensation. Accepting the registration is equivalent to signing this release. If the registered participant is a minor, it is understood that he or she is authorized by his or her parents or guardian to complete this registration, so accepting it is as if his or her parents or guardian authorized him or her. All persons participating in the event must bring photo identification, birth certificate in the case of minors. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian to collect their number and participate. Failure to do so will result in their not being allowed to participate. This waiver is part of the event rules and is accepted by registering for the race.
